We manage traffic flow in the borough to improve safety.

Ways we can do this include using:

• traffic calming measures – for example, speed humps or mini roundabouts
• traffic signals and pedestrian crossings
• speed limits

We also administer residents' requests for:

• street parties
• installations over the highway – for example, banners, flags or Christmas lights

Applications from contractors

Contractors must apply to us for:

• skip permits
• street works licences
• licences for projections over the highway
