All Thurrock libraries will be closed on Monday 6 May (Early May bank holiday) and Monday 27 May (Spring bank holiday). Libraries will be open at their usual times on all other days in May.

Thurrock libraries support reading by having a wide range of books. If you are an adult and looking for books to get you back into reading, we can help you.
Quick Reads
Written by best-selling authors, these short books are easy to read. Adult education colleges use them to improve their students' confidence in English and support their reading.
All Thurrock libraries have Reading Agency: Quick Reads and new collections are bought each year.
Move On
This is a collection of books based at Grays library aimed at beginner adult readers and for those with English as a second language.
