Bullying

Bullying can happen anywhere, at all ages and across all races and cultures. It often goes on without people noticing, but is very worrying to those who are bullied.

Bullies do unpleasant things, which can be:

  • physical – for example, hitting
  • psychological – for example making threats or demands for money

This can make you:

  • feel anxious
  • feel ill
  • not want to go to school

If you are worried, talk to your carer, social worker, designated teacher, or someone else you trust or like. All schools have policies that say how they will deal with any bullies.

Do not put up with bullying – tell someone.
