Personal searches
You can find the information that would be requested in a CON29R search by undertaking a personal search of each subject area.
This can involve:
- searching online
- sending requests to individual service areas
- asking us to undertake the personal search for you – called an 'assisted personal search'
Undertaking a personal search yourself
Personal searches are free, but charges may apply if you send requests to individual service areas.
When you undertake a personal search yourself, it means you must do all the work. We will not:
- issue an official search certificate
- give advice on how to undertake your personal search
For commercial premises you can either carry out a personal search yourself or you can request a local land charge search, for which fees and charges apply.
The tables below show where to search online and which individual service areas to contact for each piece of information.
If you would like us to carry our an 'assisted personal search' to help help you search for some of this information, details are provided at the end of this page.
Asking us for an assisted personal search
When you request an assisted personal search we will only provide types of information for which a fee is shown in the document above. We will provide all information of this type that you request, but will not undertake a full CON29R search.
We will send the results back to you electronically on a form.
If you would like to ask other specific questions, we will calculate the total fee for this service according to our expected staff time and costs.
Contact us if you would like to request an assisted personal search.
