All Thurrock libraries will be closed on Monday 6 May (Early May bank holiday) and Monday 27 May (Spring bank holiday). Libraries will be open at their usual times on all other days in May.

You can get free access to online Ocford Dictionary of English as part of our reference library.

This can be accessed either by using computers in your local library or on your home computer.

To use this service:

go to Oxford Dictionary of English
under 'Log in with a library card' enter your library card number
select 'Thurrock Libraries' from the list of libraries and institutions

The Oxford Dictionary of English is a modern use dictionary with grammar and thesaurus (synonym) links. It is different and separate to the Oxford English Dictionary.
