Child sexual exploitation

How we will help you

If you call our special team for children, you will be believed and you don't have to give your name.

Listening

We promise to listen to what you have to say. If you think you may have been abused or if someone you know might be at risk of sexual exploitation, we will listen to you.

You will be believed – whatever may have happened, it is not your fault.

Protecting

We promise to take action to protect you. Police will do all they can to investigate and see that abusers are punished. We will help your parents and family to keep you safe and neither you, nor your family will be blamed for your abuse.

Understanding

If you are at risk, your teachers, police, social workers and other professionals have been trained to spot the signs and are there to help you. They will also help you understand what grooming and sexual exploitation is and how to stay safe.

Never giving up

If you are being sexually exploited, it might take you a long time to explain exactly what is happening to you, but we will always be there to listen. We will provide all the support you need, for as long as you need it. If you are asked to give evidence against your abusers, you will be helped throughout the process and afterwards.
