Powerboat courses
As a training centre for powerboats, Grangewaters is recognised by the RYA – Royal Yachting Association. It's a great inland location to learn skills and background knowledge that form the basis of the International Certificate of Competence.
Our RYA Level 2 course is for adults and young people aged 12 years-old and older. Our expert RYA instructors use our Rib and Jaffa craft. The course focuses on:
- boat handling and seamanship
- low speed close-quarters handling
- 'man overboard' recovery
- driving at planing speed – an introduction
- collision regulations
