Missed Bins - Monday 1 December

Some Round A Blue / Brown bins could not be collected today in Stanford-le-Hope. Crews will attempt to collect them tomorrow, Tuesday 2 December. All Green/Grey bins were collected from Round B streets. All food waste bins were collected. 

Collection service for real Christmas trees

From Monday 5th January to Friday 16th January 2026, we are providing a special collection service for real Christmas trees.

This a free service for Thurrock households but you must book your collection in advance as only a limited number of collection slots will be available.

Bookings will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The date you can choose for collection may depend on availability and the area in which you live.

Terms and conditions

By booking a real Christmas tree collection, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

  • all decorations, tinsel and stands must be removed before the tree is put out for collection
  • the tree must be left at the place where your wheeled bins are usually collected
  • the tree must be put out for collection by 6am on your booked day, but not days before
  • the tree will be collected between 6am and 1:30pm on the booked day
  • we cannot give you a collection time or confirm morning or afternoon
  • only one real Christmas tree will be collected per booking – we will not collect more than one tree or any other kind of garden waste
