Essential checks
We must protect the children in our care and have a duty to check the suitability of applicants.
This involves making checks with:
- the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
- the Local Health Authority
- Ofsted
- significant family members
- 2 personal referees
- an employer reference
- schools (where appropriate)
You will also need to have a medical with your own GP – we will pay for this.
