All Thurrock libraries will be closed on Monday 6 May (Early May bank holiday) and Monday 27 May (Spring bank holiday). Libraries will be open at their usual times on all other days in May.

Free online courses
Universal Class is an online service offering a wide range of courses and a real tutor who will assess your work. More than 500 courses are available, covering subjects such as:
- office skills
- psychology
- crafts
- creative writing
- cookery
- management skills
- sciences
- computer skills
- photography
All you need is your library card, email address and access to a computer, which you can get in any Thurrock library. Go to Universal Class and enter your library card number to register or login.
Learn languages online
Transparent Language Online is a language learning system that uses flashcards and sound to teach you a words or phrases. You can learn English as your second language or access any of 80 languages through your computer or smartphone. To login, enter your library card number and email address.
